Nothing but 5 stars all around for the new Galveston Royal Caribbean port. It was so fast and efficient. I was traveling with birth certificate and it was still so much quicker than the old port. Loved it!

We ate at all the specialty restaurants as the MDR was a disappointment on embarkation night. Our dinner was nearly 2 hours and we missed our show because of it. They are understaffed and I was trying to be as understanding as possible. The food wasn’t up to par with how I remembered RC pre 2020. We spent a little extra and enjoyed dinner elsewhere after that. All the specialty dining was delicious and service was wonderful. The lunch options on this ship are so limited. I wasn’t impressed with the buffet, it always had an off smell to it. The cafe promenade was mediocre and limited selection. The MDR lunch was surprisingly very good and the service was better at lunchtime!

Our interior room was spacious and I loved the couch to sit while we were in our “outside” clothes. (I don’t like sitting in my bed when I am not in pajamas) Lot of cabinet and closet space to keep our belongings organized. The TV was brand new and it was nice. Limited channels but we weren’t watching tv much. The bed was awful. The mattress was more like a thin pad on a hard bed frame. Quite simply the worst bed I have ever had on a cruise ship.

Buy the specialty dining. Don’t think twice just do it!
