Review summary

Exhilarating Escape to Cozumel! I recently embarked on a 4-night Western Caribbean cruise aboard the Voyager of the Seas departing from Galveston, Texas, with a stop in Cozumel, Mexico, and it was an absolute delight. The Voyager of the Seas is a fantastic ship, filled with amenities and activities to suit all tastes. From the moment we stepped on board, the staff's warm hospitality made us feel right at home. Cozumel was a highlight of our trip. This Mexican paradise offered a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. We enjoyed snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, explored Mayan ruins, and savored authentic Mexican cuisine. Cozumel is truly a gem in the Western Caribbean. The ship's dining options were exceptional, with a variety of cuisines to choose from. Whether it was the elegant main dining room or the casual Windjammer Cafe, every meal was a culinary delight. Entertainment on board was top-notch. We caught some amazing shows, from Broadway-style performances to live music that kept us dancing into the night. The casino was a fun spot too, and we even tried our luck there. The 4-night duration was just right – long enough to relax and enjoy all the ship had to offer but short enough to fit into a busy schedule. Overall, this cruise was a perfect escape. It combined the excitement of exploration in Cozumel with the comforts and luxuries of the Voyager of the Seas. If you're looking for a short but unforgettable getaway, I highly recommend this Western Caribbean cruise on the Voyager of the Seas. It's an experience you won't want to miss!

Embarkation

Quick and smooth

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The main dining room staff is very attentive and great at remembering your wants and are understanding of scheduling conflicts

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
The activities are very limited which leads to more crowding at the pools and jaccuzzis. some of the activities at the pools only focus on men and don't include women (ie. belly flop or sexiest man).

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Stage shows are great the offer a good variety for each audience. The DJ just plays a playlist he is not a mixologist.

Children's Programs

Did not have a child with me

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Each staff member goes out of their way to ensure the ship is clean and needs are met. The do such a good job that it is difficult to hide ducks. Staff keeps picking them up and trowing them out before the ducks may be found by other guests.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship is difficult to navigate. Often you find yourself on the opposite side of the ship from where you want to be. Having the restaurants on different levels has guests over using the elevators to go everywhere.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
the size was perfect for two to thee people.

Ship tip

ensure to purchase the Key and a beverage package to enjoy your time better.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

3 out of 5
The port area is highly organized and overflowing with shopkeepers attempting to sell you items. Keep walking and find those shop keeps on the outside of the port for better values.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Everyone is welcoming and has a desire to help tourists get to their destination. unlike being on the mainland there isn't a real fear of your transportation being stolen.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Debarqkation even for key members felt like a cattle call. Assigned times did not feel as though they were adhered to. It may be best just to sit and wait in the main dining room or windjammerfor a couple hours so the lines die down.
