Review summary

This was my first cruise and I loved the Vision of the Seas ship. It was very easy to navigate the ship, which was beautiful. Every one of the staff that I came in contact with was so nice and made me feel pampered. I cannot wait to go on my next cruise!

Embarkation

3 out of 5
It was pretty smooth once I got past the parking issues.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food was fine. Because of my allergies, I had to be very particular about what I ate. I loved the variety on the different days.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I really loved the two shows that I saw. The Rhyme and Rhythm show played some of my favorite musical songs. And the Boogie Wonderland show brought back good memories of music during the disco era. I did spend a lot of time just sitting on deck 9 and 10, enjoying the sailing.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
There was one group that I heard on my first night in the Centrum that was phenomenal. The vocal ranges of everyone in the band was fabulous. And the Latin musicians were fabulous!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
I loved the attitude of the staff. The room steward remembered me by name, which made the cruise extra special. The staff in the Windjammer were so nice! They anticipated my needs and even some of the cooks asked me about the food. Just all around great!.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I have to admit I was surprised at how clean the common bathrooms were. Everything was clean and well maintained but the staff.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I didn't know what to expect as far as the cabin since this was my first cruise. The room steward kept the room very clean and responded quickly to any requests that we had.

Ship tip

My advice would be don't be scared to try out some of the activities on the ship. There were a lot of activities happening all day.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

Parking was kind of hellish. I arrived well before my time to board the ship and waited in line to drop off my luggage and to park for over 40 minutes. There were three (3) lines to get into parking and at one point, only two of the lines were allowed to move up - not my line! When I asked one of the parking attendants and what was the hold up, he was very snarky and nasty.

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

The people were so helpful!

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
I didn't know what to expect but embarking from the ship at the end of the cruise was very smooth. My luggage was picked up the night before embarkment which made it much easier to just go to my station for embarkment and wait for my group to be called.

I really love Royal Caribbean cruises. Nothing comes close to her.

Thanks for the review. Think about joining Royal Caribbean's Crown 👑 and Anchor ⚓️ Society (frequent cruiser program) if you think you'll cruise 🛳 regularly with Royal Caribbean. You'll get some extra free perks.

Glad you enjoyed your first cruise. I would recommend parking elsewhere and taking a ride service or shuttle to the port next cruise if you can.
