Review summary

All in all, it was a very enjoyable cruise. Weather was good in Bermuda and there were enough activities to keep people busy. Casino wasn't open much due to restrictions in Baltimore and Bermuda. People should realize that when you embark and start buying drinks you will pay the Maryland 9% alcohol tax until you get out of the Chesapeake Bay. The trip out of the bay takes about 8 hours.

Embarkation

Good to see that Baltimore has changed the embarkation process to a much more easier way. The RCL app makes all the difference.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food was very good in the main dining and Windjammer. Giovanni's was very good and a lot of good food to eat. My favorite is Chop's and I always do this restaurant on every cruise I take.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Can't comment on this as I didn't take part in these activities

Entertainment

4 out of 5
I have to say the band that played in Centrum was very good and entertaining.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Every staff member I encountered was professional, and very helpful. Kudos to all staff members especially the one at the guest services who had to put up with the lady yelling at him about her luggage on the last day at sea.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The Vision is an "old" ship in naval terms but she is still very clean, comfortable, and easy to maneuver about.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
My junior suite was very comfortable for my wife and I. The cabin attendant made sure it was cleaned daily and responded to our requests.

Ship tip

If you are a seasoned cruiser like myself don't expect the "bells and whistles" of the newer RCL ships. You will still enjoy your cruise without all the hustle and hassel of the bigger ships. For first time cruisers this is the ship you want to start with then if you like work your way up to the larger vessels.

Ports of call

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

Since this was my fifth visit to Bermuda my wife and I just walk the local area. Prices in Bermuda are expensive. The ferry to Hamilton and St George was $10 each way when I visited 3years ago now it is $19 one way. Draft beer 16 oz are $14 each.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
SUPER EASY AND FAST!
