Review summary

Lots of fun, great family bonding time. Will do it again, just need to save up $$ and coordinate with everyone's schedule.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Excellent -- very well run and organized.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main dining room experience was awesome -- Sriram (our waiter) was extremely attentive and accommodating. He made us feel like family and went out of his way to anticipate our needs (including those of my 4 y/o granddtr). Sriram is an awesome employee and one that Royal Caribbean should promote as soon as possible. Food in the main dining room was very good, Windjammer buffet was also good. Our only regret is that we didn't eat every dinner in the main dining room with Sriram attending.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Fitness center was okay, rock climbing looked fun but too many people. Pools were okay, although very crowded. The indoor was taken over by teens on some evenings, I believe the age limit is 21+. It would be nice to have these restrictions followed. I wish there were more things for children 4-6 to do, as they're too old for the Adventure Ocean daycare. More adult singles activities?

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Mey was very good, musicians/DJs were good, George the comedian was good, the first musical show was good but the second one was contrived and mediocre. (I didn't bother to check out the third [farewell] show.)

Children's Programs

2 out of 5
The age group 4-6 was largely a bust, nor do I think I should have to pay $$ for entertainment/activities to make up for the lack of activities for this age group. Poor selection of games available to play, especially for kids. Please beef up these areas.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Sriram (main dining room, but also attended to us in the Windjammer dining room) is the face of the MODEL Royal Caribbean waiter. Please promote him as soon as you can -- you won't regret it! A very personable individual, charming, and very trustworthy. Our cabin steward Dinata was very good, loved the towel animals.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The staff do a great job of picking up after guests who have just left their meal things (and sometimes messes) behind.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Comfortable, limited space (but that's to be expected), toilet sometimes made a funny noise but worked. I noticed that behind the sink it's dirty/moldy, hard to get back to this area to clean because of logistics and proximity to the wall. Surely you have a cleaning device that can maneuver back in there??

Ship tip

Be open to try new experiences and bring a good book and portable game you enjoy. If you're an older single, go with a friend or family member.

Well organized, personable individuals but a 5-day cruise affords very little time to explore. Lovely beaches -- too bad "entitled people" feel it's okay to leave their litter on the beach, when there's a trash can 50 yards away. I took quite a bit of trash from the far end of Horshoe Bay to the trash can.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Had to wait for some guests to return, since they were running late. Always someone in the crowd who's going to hold everyone else up.
