Review summary

It was a great first experience, and my wife and I are sold on cruises. It seems to be a fantastic way to relax and one of the big advantages to this type of vacations is the chance to pay for everything up front. I spent less than $20 once I got on the ship.

Embarkation

Hard to compare the embarkation since it was our first time, but it did take awhile to work through and get our SeaPass. Security was easy and straightforward though.

Food and Dining

Main dining room food and service are excellent, and the buffet as well. The buffet was every bit as good as the main dining room for breakfast and lunch, and faster. The only real benefit to the main dining room during the early meals is having a server. We did not even need to try a specialty restaurant because all the other food was excellent.

Onboard Activities

The evening shows were very enjoyable, and the adults-only pool was never crowded.

The cruise director did a great job with the late-night entertainment.

It was our first time in Mexico. Port prices were a bit higher than expected and the excursion was a little shorter than expected. The water and tour guide were fun though.
