Ship experiences

Food and Dining

MDR was wonderful as always. The food and service are two main reasons we book on Royal. Our attendants John and Gede were awesome.

Service and Staff

AMAZING!!!!! John and Gede our MDR servers did everything they could to make us happy. At the pool bar a very nice young man named Omar took care of our every need. Our room steward, Rommel was great. The room was always clean and I loved his animals. If we are ever on the Vison again we will ask for these wonderful people.

Ship Quality

She is a sweet ship, great for beginner cruisers. We have sailed on Freedom and Liberty and really missed the ambiance of the promenade. The low ceilings in the shopping really got to me when the seas were rough. The Centrum is really pretty and we enjoyed the shows we saw there. We were really looking forward to the acrobats in the Centrum but that wasn't done on this sail.

Cabin / Stateroom

Always clean. I think Rommel was watching our room. we'd leave, come back 10 minutes later and the beds are made and everything picked up. Size was good. I usually stay in a D1 or a corner E1 so I felt the smallness. Beds were very comfortable.

Ship tip

Sail the Vision first before the bigger ships. You'll really enjoy her then.

Ports of call

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

If there was something below 1 being terrible I would have picked it. WORST EVER!!!! We asked for a refund and a trip back to the ship within 15 minutes of arriving. The secluded beach was 75 feet wide by 250 feet deep. Mexican food on the ship was better, so were the drinks. I was afraid to let my son use the equipment it was in such bad condition. When asked for the refund we were told there would be no refund. I told them what I was unhappy about. There reply was "Welcome to Mexico"

Fairly fast. Coming back is always slower than leaving.
