Review summary

This was our first time cruising with Royal Caribbean. We will definitely take another cruise with them as we felt the quality of the food and drink was excellent.

Embarkation

Embarkation was smooth with short wait at check in. Luggage was taken at terminal and delivered to room in a timely manner.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

We ate in 2 of the specialty restaurants and the food and service was excellent. The main dining room food was above average from our prior cruises. We also ate at the lunch buffet all days. The selection and quality of the food was above average. Breakfast buffet and main dining room was very good. Service in all restaurants was excellent.

Service was excellent as was the quality of the food. Portions were just right and you could try as many of the selections as you liked.

Onboard Activities

The bingo was good and the host was very entertaining. We went into the hot tub and spent a lot of time reading. the ship was quite and we were able to relax.

Entertainment

We went to several shows and especially enjoyed the Journey Tribute band. The Married Couple game was great and the host was very entertaining

All the staff was helpful and attentive.

This was an older ship but was very comfortable. We actually liked the smaller size of the boat.

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was as expected on a cruise. Bed was comfortable but there was a lot o outside noise from the engines and the speed of the boat through the water.

Ship tip

If you are looking for a relaxing cruise with a great staff and nt the crowd of the super cruise ships this is your boat.

Cozumel, Mexico

We have been to Cozumel many times and only spent a few hours on shore. WE enjoyed our time on the ship.

Disembarkation

We were able to disembark earlier than expected. Our luggage was already at the pier and we were in our car in less than 1 hour.

Do you happen to know if the solarium pool is heated? We took a February cruise with Norwegian a couple years ago and we couldn't enjoy the pool as it was outdoors and too cold till we reached way south.

You have to pay extra for lobster or premium steak in the main dining room
