Review summary

Galveston to Cozumel is not an exciting trip, but it's an enjoyable one. My friends and I go every year. So far, the Vision has been my favorite ship to do this on.

So fast! There were no lines at all. We practically walked right on.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We purchased the Specialty Dining Package and had 4 dinners and 2 lunches in the premium restaurants. Chop Steakhouse is excellent. I can't say too much about the variety because I was stuck on the filet mignon and just ordered that, over and over.

Service and Staff

This was a different experience with our room cabin. Normally, they learn your name and make an effort to greet you and be visible. Our steward introduced himself to us and after that, we only saw him once or twice when we asked for more towels. He wasn't unfriendly or anything, just not nearly as attentive and outgoing as I'm used to. But service was fine.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I love this ship. It is so incredibly easy to find your way around this one. It's small, compact and just makes sense. Smaller ships like this are really the way to go.

Cabin / Stateroom

This was a panoramic ocean view room. It was located close to the elevators which made it convenient but it was noisy at night because it was close to the Centrum and underneath a pool deck. For me, I'm not sure the oceanview was worth it - I think I'll pay a bit more for a balcony next time.

Ship tip

If you love a small ship and don't need things like an ice skating rink, you'll love this one.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

We always go to Mr. Sancho's in Cozumel and do their all inclusive package - food and drinks. It's nice.

Disembarkation

It took 20 minutes from the time we left our cabin until we were in the parking shuttle bus. I can't believe how fast and easy it was.
