Review summary

The only negative, which I discussed with the cruise director, was a lack of communication at times. We nearly missed seeing a magnificent basilica while cruising during dinner one night because we had no idea it was coming up and many people stayed up to see the lights of Budapest as we entered when the hotel manager knew, he had told me and a few guests, that the lights would not be on as we were getting in after midnight. A guide with highlights and when they would be visible would be very helpful.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
All the food onboard the Tor was very good to excellent. The pastries and baked goods were incredible! Nothing like an oven fresh croissant delivered to your table by the chef to start your day right!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
A river cruise is much more laid back in the activity category but we thought the entertainment and audience participation activities were a lot if fun.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Fun to see locals perform opera, folk songs, dances and music.

Children's Programs

Adult cruise

Service and Staff

All of the staff was attentive, friendly and engaging.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Great ship, great crew. No negatives.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Very nice cabin. Clean and well maintained. I only gave a 4 because of the shower. No matter what we did it soaked the bathroom floor every time.

Ship tip

Sit with different people as much as possible. Talk to the crew and learn about them. Don't try to do it all in ports, it can't be done. Stop in the wonderful cafes for a cup and enjoy!
