Review summary

The Viking ship and room was great, but the food was a big disappointment. Also, the staff in the restaurants were poor compared to other luxury cruise lines we have traveled on.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Getting on the ship early at 11 am was great and easy. But, we weren't also aware that our room would be ready at 11 am, so we wasted time onboard waiting for the room to be ready when it already was ready.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
We were very disappointed by the food and wine on the ship. The food in all the restaurants was always cold and very poor quality. The only good food on the ship was getting a burger and fries near the central pool.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The room stewards in our room were amazing. But, the waiters in the restaurants were poor and often confused by requests or they were not attentive during peak dining times.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We really enjoyed the large size of the cabin and the large deck off the back of the ship.

Ship tip

Best food is at the pool grill on the center of the ship.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
It was confusing trying to figure out when we could get off the ship if were didn't have a scheduled transfer. We were told different times and had to work with a concierge several times to make disembarkation plans.
