The food was excellent. Trip arbitrarily restricted for too long which made for long days on ship. I am thankful they are concerned about not spreading the virus, but they overreacted in what they closed for the entire cruise.

Food and Dining

Buffet was good food. The Chef's table was a disappointment with small portions of food and staff not refilling the complimentary wine. I went there 2 times and that was the case both times. The Restaurant has good food but don't go there unless you plan on over an hour for dinner. The food was good but service is slow.
Onboard Activities

There was a norvo virus on the previous cruise and they closed the pool and hot tub for the entire cruise. They even stopped giving game boards for a couple of days.
This is ironic as they stopped serving the food to people at the buffet after a couple of days and then we could "touch" the food serving handles. They closed the laundry room for the entire cruise. I think I have more exposure to getting the virus using a common serving spoon than using the laundry machine. Very poor management decisions. Of course, you could pay Viking money to do your laundry -very convenient for them.
To summarize, the activities were extremely limited due to an overreaction. It was a very boring cruise just sitting around. The board games, spa, and laundry should of been available once the buffet restrictions were lifted.
Entertainment

The musical talent was poor, as we have experienced on previous Viking Ocean cruises. The musicians sang off key many times. Viking needs a new show, as Abba is getting old after 3 years. Their cruise competitors refresh their shows much more frequently and the musicians are better performers.

The room staff did a great job in cleaning the room and meeting our needs. The size was fine for sailing. I like the included amenity of using the mini bar items.
Our tour guide ran over on time and caused us to almost miss our second tour. He was not good at making factual information interesting or relevant. I felt like I was listening to someone reading from an encyclopedia.
We went on a private tour as Viking didn't have an itinerary that allowed us to see all the sites in this port. The private tour did have all the sites in one tour and we spent the same amount of time as Viking's included tour and saw more sites.
