Review summary

In spite of COVID restrictions this was a wonderful trip. Masks required indoors unless in cabin or eating or drinking. Restaurants and bars setup for social distancing. Only about 60% capacity. All the crew were well trained and were obviously proud to be Viking.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was a breeze. Shuttle met us at airport and took us dockside. Paperwork checked, tracking medallion issued, easy peasy. Quick walk to gangway and quickly onboard.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food and drink were all fabulous and we tried them all.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
This is Viking, don't look for "Carnival" type activities. There was a small well-equiped fitness center and a small but adequate pool. Nightly movies poolside (weather permitting). Daily Trivia contest was extremely well attended in the Explorer Lounge.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Viking is not known for it's "shows" but there were a few musical performances that were entertaining and the enrichment lectures were well done.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
This was our 24th cruise and we have met some of the very best crew members. Viking is just a step above.

Wife not feeling well, stayed on board.

Disembarkation

Just as easy to get off as it was to get on. Viking just does not make things difficult.
