Make sure you are mobile. The cobblestone walkway are hard to navigate. Wear good comfortable shoes.

Single-supplement travelers can offset quite a bit of that cost by booking on the lowest level, sometimes lovingly described as a "duck-view room," as it's window is right above the water line.
