The Viking staff were great. The accomodations were great. the overall service was wonderful. The excursions were great, just a lot of walking on the included excursions.
Viking Hlin Cruise Review to River Cruises - Europe
Everything was fine. I just wished we had more time to see Basil Switzerland and Also Amsterdam as was offered when we booked the cruise. I think it was misleading to have us think these were actually part of our cruise. Also, there should be some additional transportation to get us in and out of the towns so as not to rely solely on walking. Too much walking.

The food was very good. The portions were small though. Maybe it was not to have any waste.

Cabin / Stateroom

We had a state room and our cabin number was 209. very nice, very clean.
Unfortunately we did not get an opportunity to tour this port. We arrived from our Lake Como excursion late in the afternoon, in time for an embarkation meeting. We did stop at Lake luzerne but all the shops except a couple of chocolate shops were closed. Marthon going on so we could not get close up to the lake. We did have a nice lunch, but we only had about 20 minutes of free time to explore anything.
The Black Forrest. We did not actually go in to the Forrest, however, we did observe a cookoo clock making demo and a black forrest cake demo. It was ok.
This was nice because there was a bus involved for transportation, however, it was at least a 20 minute walk to and from the bus. Strasbourg itself though was nice and we did have some free time to shop.
We enjoyed Speyer and the history. Our tour guide was good. Stores were closed due to All Saints day holiday, We did have about an hour to explore the town. We came up to some honor tiles which brought up the Holocaust.
