An unforgettable experience! I have made several comments above about tours and ports, as well as the personnel and service. I want to emphasize how impressed I was with Viking staff. My deepest appreciation goes to our Program Director, Radim Wajshajtl for all he did to make sure everything run smoothly and to help solve the many problems passengers had. He was patient, efficient, skillful and always friendly. Viking is lucky to have him!!!

Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food in the main restaurant was excellent. Executive Chef Gregorio did a very good job. Dinners were delicious, creative and beautiful. Welcome and Farewell dinners were especially nice. Drinks and wine offers were top quality. Breakfast was also very good. However, we were disappointed with a couple of the lunch menus. Chicken wings should not be included in a luxury cruise menu.
Onboard Activities

Entertainment

Having a pianist on board was great, The trio that did Music along the Rivers was excellent, Michael-Fischer Folkensemble was a lot of fun, and Ron Schrade, the artistic glassblower was wonderful.

Service and Staff

Very good! Efficient, friendly, always with a smile. Team toasts and presentations were nice, and the port talks and briefings by Program Director Radim were informative and thorough.
Ship Quality

Aquavit terrace is small considering the number of passengers. It was disappointing to have the sun deck closed so many days because of bridges and locks.
Cabin / Stateroom

Clean, comfortable but a little too small.
What was not nice was sometimes having another ship next to ours, therefore blocking the view and losing privacy.
It helped having an excellent guide for the walking tour.
Before embarkation we did a tour of Nuremberg which we didn't enjoy as much as the others because it was very hot and our tour guide's explanations were too long with too many pictures and everybody was exhausted.
The tour through the town and visit to the Castle were interesting, but we run out of time to be able to visit the mustard mill and buy the famous mustard.
It was sad to leave our ship! We were impressed with the organization and also the fact that all members of the staff and crew helped with taking the luggage from the ship to the buses. Disembarkation was well done.
