Review summary

Loved the ship, had no issues with the ship at all. Very clean and well looked after. Enjoyed the Canaries and loved Madeira & Lisbon. I thought the entertainment could be hit and miss - the headliners were very good but got fed up with tribute acts virtually every night. Prices were very reasonable in both the shops and the bars. We found the food and service in the main dining room very good and ok in the buffet. One real downer was kids dive bombing in the pool. I wouldn't go in the pools because I can't stand fighting through kids who's main aim is to jump in as near to people as they can get. It seems parents didn't bother to sort them out. Also found the spa very expensive - my nails broke so I went to have them done properly - spent over an hour listening to the technician trying to sell me so much rubbish that I didn't need or want. Then paid a fortune for the privilege. However, have booked P&O again but trying a different ship. Would do Ventura again but never near to a school holiday. (This cruise was at the end if a 1/2 term break). It's not that I don't like children, it's that I don't like parents who don't control them.

Its the parents who are to blame! Best to go outside of school holidays or find an adult only cruise.

As said, there are signs all over the pool areas but they are not enforced.
