Ship: Veendam

Cabin type: Balcony

Traveled as: Couple

Review summary

A little older than the newest super liners, but well maintained and spotlessly cleaned daily. The food really was high quality, beautifuly prepared and served. Our group knows fine dining and that was the level on the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Superior plus one night's dinner in the Pinnacle Grill was superb. The meats and fish were of Prime Quality and expertly prepared and served.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The first nights show that included the guests participating in a bed making contest, a silly outfit rubber golf club drive contest, and a food on the head contest was of poor judgement. Most passengers walked out. Although the musical team was excellent, they were on stage for five of the seven nights. The comedian, Marty Brill, who was excellent was on only one night, althought he was on the ship the full time.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The Captain kept the passengers well informed of the mechanical difficulty that the ship experienced.
