An amazing weekend cruise, the ship never felt crowded. The food and staff were great. The entertainment is very good. The cruise director and her team are super corny, though.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We had the first embarkation time (10:30 AM). We had friends with us who were supposed to start at 11 AM. We all were on the ship and in the atrium by 10:25, we didn't wait and it was very fast and efficient.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The food in the buffet and main dining room were excellent, arguably the best that we have ever had. We did not do any specialty dining.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There's so much going on. There is not enough time to do it all.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
We really enjoyed the Aqua show and the ice show. The theater show "broke down" halfway through and was cancelled.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Our waiters and room stewards were good. There's something weird about Royal where the staff doesn't want to acknowledge you in the hallways or in passing. I don't know if it's because this is a fast cruise so they're super busy but it's odd.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
5 Stars - everything was incredible.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The room was amazing, large bed, lots of area for sitting/lounging, the balcony was spacious, and the bathroom had lots of room. There is also plenty of storage (closets/shelves) that you can utilize.
Ship tip
I would skip any ports that are familiar to you and just explore the ship. It's really an amazing time to just stay onboard.
This is a great private island. We were with a group of 6 (3 couples). Two of the couples were on their first cruises. They really wanted to do stuff but renting cabanas, Hideaway beach, the zipline, and Aqua Park were all so expensive. The beaches and pool are also extremely crowded. The buffet was excellent and you did not have to wait, at all!
