Review summary

This run to Cabo with an overnight is a great itinerary. I love the fact that you get two days in Cabo. But this was overshadowed by the problems on the ship. The air conditioning on nearly every floor went out for two days during the peak humidity near Cabo. The food on the ship with the exception of the pizza and the burgers was very poor. Some of the staff are rude. And the drinks are overpriced.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
We have sailed 15 times on different lines and Princess has the most ridiculous embarkation process. Even if you arrive to the port early you are herded like cattle into different groups and different waiting areas. Carnival has a much better process and they are part of the same company. So its hard to understand why they use this system.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Of all the ships I have sailed on this one had the worst food by far. From the morning coffee which was sudsy to pastries that are tasteless and the dinner fare which was equivalent to a cheap drive thru.

Ship tip

Stand in line for dinner at 5 pm. Do not wait until the doors open in the dining rooms at 5:30. The hostesses quickly lose control of the entire process and it becomes chaotic.

Disembarkation

Once again Princess believes in herding people into different groups and making them sit around for hours and hours instead of just focusing on getting people off the ship. It was chaos.

Just got a call back from customer service, it only took a month and a half. We had no air in cabin the entire cruise. I'm pretty upset, we will only receive the same compensation everyone received. The same 50 dollars and 25% on board credit for next booked cruise. Couldn't sleep at all in cabin. Customer service just told me the entire ship didnt have air in their cabins but I know that's a lie.

We did get compensated for it though... and mine was only out for about 5 hours

Same with us. On the lido deck and couldn’t sleep because I was so hot. Even with the patio doors open it was super stuffy. Nice ship tho. And we like the itinerary so much that we booked the same cruise next year but on the Royal Princess.

Spot on. We were on 14 and had no a/c until Friday. Had to leave our door and balcony door open every night.
