Review summary

Booked this cruise because of the itenary. Stayed in Dubai for five days before the cruise and a week after the cruise. There is a lot to see and do. The ship is a older smaller ship but we'll kept. Easy to navigate your way around. The food and entertainment was ok. The work out room was small but adequate. Enjoyed the Zumba classes they are free. Our inside cabin 2539 was what we expected. Room steward Yousef was great always greeted us by our names with a smile. The night club had different music theme nights 60's, 70's, 80's which were fun. The ship is being sold to Thomson cruise line. Overall we enjoyed the cruise.

Ship tip

The wait staff and room steward were wonderful! Hauns the head waiter in the King and I dining room was hilarious. Enjoyed his Fred Sanford impresinations. Great service.

Hi Lea2016, In Khasab we booked the Khasab And Surroundings tour. Spectacular scenery. In Muscat did the Big Bus Hop On/Hop Off. Excellent way to see the city. Also did the Panoramic Muscat By Night With Dinner. A must see in Muscat is the Al Alam Royal Palace! We enjoyed it! Went to a Authentic Arabian restaurant food very good. Abu Dhabi took the Big Bus Abu Dhabi city tour and Grand Mosque. Excellent tour The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is amazing! Clothing restrictions are the inforced at the Mosque. No exposed shoulders or knees and women have to cover their head. Dubai did the Panoramic Dubai Night Tour. The guide was very informative and Dubai is a beautiful city at night and the day. Also went to Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall which is a destination in itself. The aquarium and zoo was worth seeing. Highly recommend the Safari Dessert tour! Not for those that get car sick easily tho but dinner and entertainment in the desert excellent. Conservative attire is recommended at all the ports.Hope this helps. Bon Voyage!!!

Hi, we are doing this Dubai cruise on splendour of the seas in three weeks time. Which excursions would you recommend? There are so many we do not know where to start... Also how strict are they on clothing? Ie covering up? Many thanks Leanne
