I had forgotten to add that in addition to warning others about customer service challenges with Princess and Delta, I was hoping someone else may have had a similar experience and had some advice on how to resolve it after the fact. It wasn’t practical to cancel before the trip; they would only give me a very small partial refund. So, we really tried to make the best of the trip; but it was hard when we couldn’t do the activities planned. It’s really sad that some of you felt compelled to go on the attack. We genuinely had a bad experience with Princess.

Apologies for the skimpy first review. I would have been more detailed in the post; but I couldn’t figure out how to write more than 50 characters in the text box. And I had to click and add some kind of comment for each category for the comment app to transmit. For some reason, today I can enter more details in the text boxes. Frankly, the ship is fine. The problem is all of the hassle and frustration leading to the trip. My intent is to warn others that there are problems with Princess Customer Service and my travel agency, Delta SkyMiles Cruises. I wasn’t told accurate information during the reservation process and when I had caught the issue, customer service reps would only read scripts to me and their supervisors wouldn’t get on line to help. And, no this was not my first cruise and not asleep at the wheel. I had 3 phone calls with the travel agent before the reservation and what I was told by the agent didn’t show up on my reservation confirmation. When I had tried to get this fixed before the trip neither the travel agent nor Princess customer service would fix it. I tried to escalate with customer service supervisors; but they wouldn’t get on the phone. A mistake at the travel agency was further exacerbated by horrible customer service at Princess. What should have been a great trip was covered by a dark cloud of getting the runaround…. Maybe $1100 isn’t a big deal to some of you; but we work hard and save for these trips. We had to skip some shore excursions because we ran out of budget. I’ve never had such troubles with Carnival, Viking, and others.

Sigh. Too bad this happened. However, you were suspiciously lacking in vital details. With 1100$ I'd expect more details then just 2 or sentences. Sorry.
