Review summary

We wanted something that was less kid-friendly without all the water slides, climbing walls, etc. I expected the Sky Princess to be more adult oriented and it was. Because of that, I selected the right cruise ship for me - though I've had better food/service on other ships.

I felt like the food selection was very similar every day e.g., chicken in some fried version. I thought they could have done a lot more international presentation and preparation. The French Bistro wasn't up to expectations (not sure the Chef knows the difference between seafood soup and Lobster Bisque). The Crown Grill was excellent!! One big issue was the lack of wine selection. The per-glass menu listed wines the ship did not seem to have on board.

Onboard Activities

We did not participate in activities as we thought they were not fit for us. But there were a lot of things to do.

We only saw the stage show - Rock Opera - which was excellent.

We did not have children with us.

Service and Staff

Generally, the staff were excellent and friendly. The only issue was the breakfast crew seemed a bit unorganized at times.

Ship Quality

I was not impressed with the design (too late for that - right!). It could have been more open feeling and not so many nooks and crannies. We DID NOT like the Movie Under The Stars. The loudness stopped us from using the main pool or relaxing in that area.

Cabin / Stateroom

Everything about the cabin was excellent.

Ship tip

If you want on deck quiet, head towards the Retreat area. You won't be bothered (so much) by the loud movies.

Glad you found Princess. The only ship I'm aware of with a kids splash area is the Caribbean Princess. The restart may have something to do with the food issues. Also the cruise lines are affected by the supply chain issues as well. The layout of the ship is quite simple once you learn it and basically the same on all ships.
