Review summary

There were some first cruise bumps, but this cruise was one of the best we've been on. The ship, staff, and cabin were all terrific.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very well organized provided you completed forms online prior to arrival. Virtually no wait to board.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was terrific. The main dining room has a tremendous variety available everyday, as well as daily specials and a chef's menu different each day. Quality of food was great. All the specialty restaurants were good, we especially liked the Asian and steakhouse. One note - we could only book each once. The buffets were also terrific, especially the Pool Grill. A tremendous variety available there including sirloin steak, tuna, etc. We had some process issues the first day, but the crew got them ironed out quickly. One complaint - coffee cups are tiny! I would take my own larger mug next time.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
It's a small ship, not really designed like large ships (no ice skating, rock climbing, etc.). The pool area is great, no trouble finding chairs which were as nice as I've ever experienced. The fitness center is well equipped, was a little crowded on sea days. The casino is very small, but there were always seats available at tables.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The shows were pleasant. The stage is very small which limits the production experiences.

Children's Programs

No children with us

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff could not have been better. As I stated before, there were some process issues at buffets the first two days, but the staff helped to make it right and they got the process corrected later in the cruise.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Brand new ship, everything looked great.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This is a "middle" level cabin, similar to mini-suites on other lines. However, it was superior to most mini-suites in that the bathroom and closet were both considerably larger. Plenty of both hanging space and drawer space. Full bath tub, large shower and two sinks in bath.

Ship tip

If you are a coffee drinker, take a larger mug.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico Did not visit port

We scheduled the cruise late, many of the excursions were full. However, we did sign up for an ATV and beach tour here, only to find out the night before there is an age limit of 65 and that got us thrown off.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Organized and fast. With only around 700 passengers, finding luggage was really easy.
