Review summary

We enjoy our cruise to Alaska and we will definitely book another cruise to Alaska.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation day was smooth. We had a check in time of 1pm and we were on the ship by 1:15. We had lunch in the Wind Jammer and our room was ready by 2pm. We found our luggage in a different hallway and we grabbed them. Four less bags our stateroom attendant had to deliver.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food at Izumi’s was very disappointing along with the food in the Windjammer. The food in the main dining room was hit or miss depending on what you had a taste for. Now the Taste of Royal at Giovanni’s Table was really good. See pics

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The funk band and guitarist Eugene were amazing.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our stateroom attendant Anderi was great with making sleeping very comfortable. The beds were very hard like sleeping on the floor. So our attendant arranged for us to have a memory foam topper. Our main dining room serves Alvira and Andika were amazing. They were very friendly and helpful when choosing our meals. The rest of staff we encountered were just as nice, friendly and helpful.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The room was nice but the closet space was very small and barely held our 2 large suitcases. But the room was very clean and the balcony was really nice to have.

Ship tip

This is a smaller older ship and it does not have all the glitz glam like the larger ships. But it’s still a nice ship.
