Review summary

We boarded on Friday, March 13. On Sunday it was announced that (due to COVID 19) the cruise was being suspended and would return to Ft. Lauderdale the following Tuesday. All scheduled ports were closed. The ship did stop on Monday in Nassau. We remained on the ship, enjoyed a leisurely breakfast on our balcony, packed, they laid by the pool. In spite of the fact our cruise was suspended it was a wonderful “cruise to nowhere “. RC did everything right to keep us safe and healthy. The crew was nothing short of fabulous. Once all this craziness passes we will use our future cruise credit to book another cruise.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Hotel to ship in less than 30 minutes including pre-boarding health screening and TSA!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
For the most part the food in the MDR & Windjammer was good. A few things were hit & miss. Our servers in MDR were not as attentive as typically expected. On day 2 it was decided crew would serve food in buffet to reduce risk of infection. This was a wise move.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There’s plenty to do if you want

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Great shows!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Great crew. Very friendly and engaged.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Crew was observed cleaning and disinfecting frequently.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Great midship balcony stateroom. Plenty of storage. Our cabin attendant, Carolina, was a ray of sunshine.

Ship tip

Learn to be flexible. Itineraries can change.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Ship sailed with only about 1300 passengers. Everyone was off by 8:30. We gathered our luggage, went through customs, grabbed a cab, and were at airport by 9:15.

Wonderful optimism. This would have ruined most people. Keep on cruising...when it’s safe.

We were on that cruise as well and I couldn’t agree more.

RC refunded cruise line booked excursions, unused days on beverage packages, and gave us the 10 loyalty points we would have earned. We have the option of a future cruise credit if 125% of the cost of the suspended cruise or a refund less non-refundable deposit good until the end of 2021.

Sorry about your cruise being cut short. At least you liked it and had a few days. Did you get full cruise credit for another?
