Review summary

I have cruised on other cruise lines and found that the food,the pool,the wear and tear on this particular ship was disappointing. We liked two of the 5 ports,but the ports we didn't like was mainly due to the resident's begging and hounding us to buy from them to the point you wished you didn't disembark at all. Only the USVI were there actual laws passed by the Dept of Tourism,to dis-allow resident's to swarm all over you,that was the best part of our trip ( not being hounded by beggars in the Us Virgin Island's )

The comedian was fabulous, as was the Special Guest out of Vegas that was great,his piano playing and stage show well worth watching.

The staff were all very enthusiastic, worked hard every day, the entertainment staff were really fun.

we found out by other passengers after we were already at sea, that this particular ship ( Serenade of the Seas) is about to be refurbished,too bad we were not told that before we booked, the open air pool was smaller that my own pool at home,the rugs were stained everywhere..!

Our first balcony experience,that was nice, I would definitely book balconies from this point on.

Pros: The Comedian,Friendly staff,St Croix and St Thomas USVI

Cons: the food was not special, the ship was worn out looking,the pool very tiny

Recommends Serenade of the Seas? No.
