Review summary

The Serenade of the Seas is new enough and well maintained enough that it still presents well. The staff are great, though clearly a little on edge-- it's clear that management browbeats them to get top ratings on the guest surveys, and I don't like seeing people so afraid for their jobs. The dining room selections need a bit of work.

The good news is they have several different food options for people with special restrictions. The bad news is that, for a vegetarian person, for example, most of the western style dishes were technically correct but very bland and uninteresting. The wife even wondered whether the minestrone came out of a chef boy r d can. Seriously. The one consistent exception were the curry dishes. Somwe just ate those all week.

Would be nice to have a flat panel tv, but the room was fine.
