Review summary

Unfortunately the ports of call where not the greatest, booked tours tended to be on the expensive side, getting on and off tenders appeared to be horrific at times, not a lot happening on board for elderly people, particularly on port visits. Given the ports of call and entertainment on board, I found 15 days was far too long, 12 days would be plenty for me

Embarkation

2 out of 5
Tragic, as we are Platinum members we supposedly had priority boarding, no such thing, at the port there was obviously insufficient numbers of staff. however not Princess cruises fault

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food and service is always first class on Princess ships

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Not great, for us being retirees

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Pretty average

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Excellent as always, bar one exception, cabin steward was pretty poor, forgetting to leave important infomation

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
very good, same layout as Sun Princess and Dawn Princess

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was as expected, plenty of room, good storage space, nice shower and excellent balcony

Ship tip

Lifts can be frustrating at times

Ports of call

Fremantle (Perth), Australia

2 out of 5
Opinion purely based on the lack of staff at check and boarding, compared to Singapore it was a joke

Which cruise was this?

I found the ports were great. A lot depends on where you go and who with. These are not regular tourist ports and you have to explore what is available. I also thought the activities were many and varied for all ages, the staff were very helpful and the facilities were good, if a little dated. Some of the very old and infirm passengers may not have enjoyed it so much, but I wonder whether they should have been on such a cruise.

This is your third time on the same cruise, isn't it? Maybe getting bored with the ports? It would be nice if shorter cruises were available for you.
