Embarkation

Embarkation was a bit rough. We purchased the Splash of Romance package which afforded us early access to the terminal and the ship. Basically they called us to go inside so we could stand in line for 45 minutes. I’m disabled so having to leave a seat no matter how uncomfortable it was sucks and to have to be forced to stand for 45 minutes was extremely painful.. Even those who are able bodied like my wife were very uncomfortable standing for that amount of time so imagine having severe spinal issues. If you are not in a wheelchair do not expect people to think you’re disabled. I will point out that the TSA agent was the first person to show me some form of kindness at a very stressful time. Virgin staff could learn from that gentleman.

Food and Dining

Food and drinks onboard are AMAZING!! Gunbae was our first night and a perfect way to start off our cruise. Definitely try brunch at The Wake, awesome food!! Dinner there was a great way to cap off our trip!!! We found ourselves spending our lunchtime at The Dock House for tapas, again awesome food!! And don’t forget to Lick Me Till I Scream!! Some of the best gelato you will have! Pizza was great, try the Too Fly for a White Pie, I’m drooling just thinking of it. Basically you cannot go wrong with any of the food options onboard.
Onboard Activities

There is always something to find onboard to keep you entertained from the game room and arcade to swings to basketball, running track, gym facilities, pools or just people watching. Oh and don’t forget to stop in at Squid Ink and get a tattoo!! Hailey is a great artist and even greater person!! Honestly you cannot go wrong there, every artist there is extremely talented!! Embrace your inner child and have fun!! That’s what I did and I advise everyone else to do so!!

There is ALWAYS music pumping from the speakers!! There are many talented artist aboard Scarlet Lady. Everyone treated us to wonderful performances!
Service and Staff

Staff on board are AMAZING!! They treat you like you want to be treated with no pretense like on other lines (Royal Caribbean I’m looking in your direction)…. The way the staff is trained is a model to others not only in the cruise industry but corporate culture. Thank you Scarlet Lady crew for a wonderful birthday experience!
Ship Quality

Ship is very easy to navigate and the place is SPOTLESS!!! Maintenance crews are always busy doing something to make the ship look brand new! And our balcony was crystal clear, unlike our last cruise on Anthem of the Seas which had a salt film all over the glass and rust all over the ship. Again, a model to those in the industry!

Ship tip
Book excursions early because they do fill up quick, especially on Bimini. Also you MUST GET A TATTOO!! Squid Ink are some of the most talented artists on the planet and they are AWESOME People to boot!
