We enjoyed the Virgin Voyages so much, that we rebooked while we were on board. It's a totally different experience than any other cruise line that we have been on. The atmosphere was very upbeat yet laid back. No photographers in your face, no standing in line to get dinner and there was plenty to do if you chose to do do.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
The embarkation would have been excellent except for the fact that my Covid test was available at 3:45pm (1 3/4) after we took them and my husband's was not available until 5pm!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
What an absolute pleasure to be served your meals. No buffet line with hundred of people standing around wasting food. They have several restaurants that are all included in the price of passage and and The Galley (Food Court) that you may choose what you want from your table and the will bring it to you.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There were a lot of fitness classes, pub crawls (extra charge), yoga, ect. We did not participate however many others did and some classes filled quickly. We did walk everyday and enjoyed the fact that the track is at the top level and did not interfere with the pool like most ships do. Just a well laid out track with marks showing certain distances.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
There were two shows and we were only able to get into one. Reservations are able to be made 30-45 days before you board and I did not. The one show we did see was amazing!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
We have been on many cruises and I have to say that everyone we came in contact with was pleasant, helpful, and very kind.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship's layout was very easy to learn after just one day. Since it's a smaller ship, it's easier to get around and from place to place quickly. The ship was very clean and they were constantly cleaning to abide by the CDC rules for Covid.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
The cabin was a typical room. A little tight around the end of the bed. When you watch the commercials about the day version of the room and the night version of the room, that doesn't really happen unless you tell your room steward to do it for you.
Ship tip
Book shows and restaurants as early as you can, even before you board.
The Beach Club was pool and music and beach. It was nice and many people seemed to enjoy it. We went to see what it was all about, had lunch and went back to the ship. Being from Florida it really wasn't anything new to us.
