Review summary

We really enjoyed our cruise and this ship is in nice condition and well maintained. The embarkation and disembarkation was top notched! The negatives for us were the Horizon Buffet food quality was just not that great...meats were tough and finding a seat nearly impossible as people just prefer to sit and look at the views after the meal leaving others circling looking for a place to sit. The entertainment on this cruise was lacking...comedian was simply terrible. The ports were awesome and again, getting off and back on the ship very well done! I tried uploading current photos during the cruise...but this very app was not accessible during the cruise! How ironic and disappointing. Could use the Princess @Sea site in web browser though. All in all, the cruise ship was more of a ride to the next port than a memorable part of our adventure. Princess can fix the negatives pretty swiftly...and it’s not so bad that we wouldn’t cruise again on the same ship! However, our next cruise will be on a different cruise line to see if there are more entertaining options...loyalty perks with Princess are far too lofty with actual minimal benefits received by being a loyal cruiser.

Our cruise on Sapphire princess last year was very good, we found food in buffet very acceptable, and entertainment was very good in most part.

We feel the same about princess. We’ve done two cruises with them now. Everything was ok, but we would’ve liked just that but more to everything and and everywhere. I dislike buffet restaurants so avoid it at all costs, further disappointment is that on the open decks Princess use plastic glasses, plates and mugs. We’d never be a suite guest again, despite the extra space it wasn’t worth the money as the staff just didn’t seem to get it.
