Review summary

We liked the cruise line and the people on the cruise but the destinations were poor and not realistic. Caravale is too young for us and Holland America is too old for us.

They did not serve lobster but plenty of shrimp. The specialty dining they served lobster this is what they call lobster but it was quite small and had 1 claw

I thought it a little small to be a mini suit. It was clean and the room steward did a fine job.

Ship tip

They take the time to produce the ship magazine or ships platter. There should be a diagram of the ship on the back instead of advertisements after all this is for the passengers.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

Amber Cove was like visiting a private island. This might have been on land of Dominican Republic but we never saw the real island. There was not even taxi's to take you on the island just shops with overpriced goods. Straw hats for $28.00 is crazy very disappointed in this stop
