Review summary

We had a lovely vacation on board The Rhapsody of the Seas. The staff was very friendly and accommodating although we rarely saw our cabin steward (didn't even meet her until the 3rd day of our cruise). The ship is in great condition and not huge and over crowded. The only time we had to stand in line was when we arrived at a port and it didn't take long to disembark. The beds in the rooms leave much to be desired--very hard and not comfy at all. Our son had a better bed on the couch. The food was good-good variety at the Windjammer Cafe--wait staff in the dining room was great. We only booked 2 excursions before we got on the ship and both ended up getting cancelled. We were able to re-book others with a discount but were looking forward to what we had originally signed up for. I recommend booking your excursions off ship. The pool was nice and we were always able to find lounge chairs on the deck. Nothing worse than an over crowded deck with chairs reserved with towels and no occupant in them for hours. The shows were entertaining and the activities staff did a great job keeping us laughing. If you want a ship that you are able to get around easily and quickly and don't need all the hubbub of the fancy over sized vessels, I recommend the Rhapsody of the Seas.

I heard that was part of the re-model a few years back

Do you happen to recall if the Rhapsody had a giant outside movie screen like some of the other ships?

My son and I will be sailing on her next week so thanks for the review!
