Review summary

The plus was the sites. The ship was clean and stylish. The food was wonderful. The excursions through BJ's were not as good as I would have liked. The 3 day excursion package was not very good. The helicopter and train was wonderful. The coffee was terrible. I visited Starbucks on board every day just to get a good cup of coffee. The scenery was wonderful, and there are lots of places to sit and read a book and enjoy the mountains.

Food and Dining

The dining room food was wonderful every time. The Windjammer was used frequently\, the food was always good. Did not like the Seattle Best coffee. A couple of us visited the Sushi restaurant for lunch which was good. There was us and one other table filled with a couple. We felt it should have been part of general dining. It was underused by the passengers. It screamed that it was a waste of space and staff. Move it to a general area of the ship\, and open it for limited hours.

Entertainment

The acrobats never performed. Seemed like they were on board to learn a new routine. The Broadway shows were not geared towards the age of the ship clientele. The band in the center of the ship was wonderful

Service and Staff

The room steward was great. The waiter in our anytime dining slot (table 31) was wonderful. The wine steward was not so good. He would take 20 minutes to bring the bottle of wine that was pre-ordered. The one glass of wine ordered at the end of the cruise never came. I asked the bread waiter to find it for me.

Ship Quality

The ship was done over very well. It was up to date\, no rust anywhere. They did a wonderful job upgrading it. The ONLY negative was the hot tubs jets were not working 6 out of 8 hot tubs.

Cabin / Stateroom

The room was fine as far as decor. The bath was redone and worked well style and function. The storage in the room was not sufficient for an Alaskan cruise where everyone came with 2 bags! We had 3 adults and had difficulty putting our things away.
