Review summary

The itinerary was excellent.   The lectures were superb.   Unfortunately there was a ship health issue which seemed to dominate the crew's time and attention.   Missed the social activities of cooking demonstration, gatherings for captain's party, party for frequent Oceania travelers, afternoon tea served in Horizons etc.   We will check number of sea days on future trips.   This cruise had too many for us particularly with the extra day when we couldn't land in the Falklands.

Housekeeper was very solicitous and maintained the room with fresh towels constantly. She was very good about getting us ice since it was not being provided unless we asked for it. She also kept us supplied with tonic water.

Ports of call

Pisco, Peru Did not visit port

Purchased a private tour to see the Nasco lines. We were on a wait list for the ship's tour and then found one privately instead (much cheaper!!0

Valparaiso (Santiago), Chile Did not visit port

Needed more time here. Should have had time for an overnight when those of us who wanted to could have spent a night at a hotel. We did that in Hanoi and it worked perfectly.

Port Stanley, Falkland Islands Did not visit port

We couldn't land so sadly our ship tour was cancelled. We didn't get to the penguins and this made us have 3 sea days in a row.

Punta Del Este, Uruguay Did not visit port

That turned out to be a beautiful place with the Rali Museum being particularly delightful.
