Cruising around UK with a stop in L’Harvre Weymouth was great. Needed a transfer from port Guerney very cute and easy to get around Cork we didn’t go into and Dublin was another big transfer. Belfast very interesting Greenock way away from Glasgow, Invergordon again tendered and away from places you want to see tho lovely pubs on the waterfront edinborough was fantastic but yet another tender and public transport to get into the city. L’Harvre fir Oaris would not bother to get off the ship here if I went again. £20 shuttle charge to effectively get off the dock. An hours walk to get to the nearest beach. Which is very much stones

Staff were absolutely brilliant
Very fast and friendly. Also very organised
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Best of the buffets that I’ve been too regarding seating and styling food however is still buffet. Often not very hot and quite hard and dried out. Staff here are also very good cleaning tables and offering drinks etc
Main dining it’s best to book a time as they can get busy but we never waited long. Meals here were good portions and if anything is not to your taste they will bend over backwards to correct it
Speciality outlets as you’d expect as you’re paying extra are fantastic
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Loads of actives and shows plenty to do. Some things did get cancelled at short notice with no replacement but plenty there including a library if you want very quiet
Entertainment
5 out of 5
All entertainment was very good. Often great acts clashed or you would miss dinner in order to see all you want to.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Wonderful staff in all departments always happy to help from cabin stewards to waiters on board customer services never seemed busy always a good sign
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Loved that everything was on just a few floors so easy to get around. Lifts were not integrated so they were problematic and toilets were occasionally closed but never too far away there were always people cleaning and the wood rails on the balcony was also revarnished while we were in port.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Loved the mini suite reasonable size balcony very.traditional styling but that’s absolutely fine by me. No usb ports and only 2 osiers of sockets do extension essential
Justin the steward kept it very clean and stocked up. I personally didn’t like the toiletries they supply, I’m normally very happy with what the ships give us but not this time.
Ship tip
Excursions are very expensive and the ship on our cruise ported way away from you destination over half of the ports were tendered into and then if you had no excursion booked you need to use local public transport to get you to the nearest point of interest or pay Princess for a transfer sometimes just to get off the dock area this was a big gripe for me and many others on this cruise
We recently did the British Isles on the Regal too. I was aware of where we were docking and we did Princess excursions, and loved everyone of them. Figured, we’re not going again, might as well enjoy. That is our favourite class of ship…..looking very forward to the newer ones tho. Things weren’t perfect, but they were very good. Glad you enjoyed your trip for the most part.
