Ship: Radiance of the Seas

Review summary

The ship needs to be either retired or completely gutted. She is so tired and broken. It made me sad.

This is the Owner's Suite 2 bedroom cabin. Great size, 2 full bath, couch, lots of closets, drawers. It is in need of updating and repairs. The heat didn't work first half of the cruise. (Sailing from Vancouver to Hawaii). Outlets not working, USB outlets not working. Tiny TV for room size. However, beds amazing!!

Ship tip

Be ready for a small, older ship. Not a great ship for the younger crowd. She's a classy old lady. She's got charm but she's so tired.

Ports of call

Honolulu, Oahu

This was the day we disembarked. Didn't spend a whole day here but when we did, we did not enjoy it. The amount of homelessness was incredibly heartbreaking. Such a short time we were here, and that is all I could focus on. There were tents everywhere. I can't imagine. I just feel there aren't enough resources for that many people.

Wow, I was on that ship the week before you and was amazed at how good of shape it was in. The decor was dated but nothing that needed repair. I wasn't in the Owner’s suite two bedroom cabin, though. Maybe it was just those rooms that were in bad shape.

We love Honolulu but we always stay on the Waikiki Beach. No homeless tent people there. You can’t judge Honolulu by where the homeless people live.
