Review summary

Just returned from 13 day Alaska Land and Cruise tour with Royal Caribbean. Alaska is a fantastic destination. Land tour was great, the wilderness train was one of the best features. Bus trip into Denali was good but it was the only day we had rain. The other 12 days were 70-80 degrees with sunshine. Hubbard Glacier was gorgeous and it was so warm we didn’t need the heavy clothes or gloves. We did see calving.Icy straight point is an odd port with not much there, took the bus into town. Not worth the effort. Greatest thing here is that right after we left port we saw humpbacks putting on quite a show. We watched from our balcony. In Talkeetna we did a white water jet boat excursion and it was a lot of fun and saw Moose cow and baby, red salmon, bald eagle and bears, quite the day.Radiance of the Seas is a ship that is in dire need of a refurbishment. Fridge in our room didn’t work but we weren’t going to use it anyway. Food was not great in the main dining room or buffet. I have previously travelled with Carnival and NCL and food was excellent. I don’t know if it was RC or just this particular Ship. I was very surprised at bar services on this ship too. Some of the bars don’t have blenders to make blended or frozen drinks. We were very disappointed in mixed drinks. All in all Trip of a lifetime! One side note on visiting Alaska. Take half as many clothes and twice as much money. Lol

Must be that particular ship because Royal Caribbeab is a great cruiseline.
