Review summary

I'm hearing that the pool during May Alaskan cruise on royal Caribbean is closed. Can anyone please tell me if there is any truth to this? Thanks.

They’ll only close it if not enough passengers are using it. It also now has a lifeguard standing on the side all day

Yes it would be closed. The pool water is basically the ocean water and the temperature at that time is in the 40-50’s. Too chilly to swim

There is a solarium pool that is glassed in - that is why we chose to go on the Radiance!

Yes, it was closed in July too. Believe me, it will be too chilly to swim outside. The solarium is open though. It’s over 18 only however, on the Alaskan Cruises they have Family Times daily to allow children to swim too. Enjoy!

The pool in the solarium is the one people will use in Alaska

Kind of doubt the pools would be closed unless waves action is so bad that water sloshes out of pool. Might be chilly though.

We had friends go there during the first of June. They said they wore coat almost the whole time.🤔
