Review summary

Since Carnival Valor was our first cruise this one compared unfavorably. We Fault ourselves for choosing to cruise Alaska in May. The best time would be in August, when it's warmer and drier. Rock climb wall was closed entire trip and comp formal dining room fare was only great once out of five nights. Shows were average at best. Only two comeddy acts all week. Many empty bars on this ship and primo areas of ship reserved for "specialty" ($$$) restaurants. Sport club was the redeeming factor. Housekeeping staff was excellent and friendly. Had a stern balcony which was excellent because it was like having a 20 foot porch. Mountains were snow capped and gorgeous. Glaciers are interestimg to some degree.
