Review summary

RC had little planned for the 5 days of cruising to Vancouver. The weather was not good and you could not hang out at the pool and there were not enough accommodations in the Solarium for the amount of people on the ship that wanted to be there. Since we live on the East Coast I would NEVER do this cruise again because the travel time is too much.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The food was the worst I have ever had on RC although the dinning room staff was great. One night our whole table (almost) could not eat our dinner the food was that bad. We could not have asked for a better Head waiter and an assistant.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
The entertainment and the activities were really not up to par with my expectations of RC. With the exceptions of "two funny guys" we were so bored with the shows we ended up walking out before they were finished.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Staff was friendly enough but they were bending over backwards for a conference of Deaf people and allowed them to set up a communication center on the 7th floor by the elevators. This made it extremely unsafe for the rest of us staying on the 7th floor because they congregated there and we could not get around them. Someone ended up having an accident on a scooter trying to navigate from their room to the elevators

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Loved the Ship even though it is small it is beautiful. The accessibility for scooters were awful because when you encounted them in the narrow hallway we had to stop and pray you did not get run over.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Our stateroom was great but our room attendant was a dud. He was nice enough but did not go out of his way to standout. Maybe it was time for him to take a break for a while.

Pros: The Islands of Hawaii

Cons: the 5 day sail to Vancouver
