Review summary

I loved the experience of the westbound crossing...watching our departure from Southampton, the gala nights, the food, the ship design, star gazing, spotting other vessels, arriving in New York. It was everything I was hoping for. I plan to try an eastbound crossing or, even better, a roundtrip next!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very smooth and efficient

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was very good

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I saw a lot of activities but didn't participate

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I didn't go to any stage shows but heard they were enjoyable. The musicians were enjoyable throughout the different venues and I loved the caroling by the Christmas tree in the grand lobby

Children's Programs

Was not traveling with children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
EVERYONE of the staff were friendly and helpful. I would like to specifically commend my room steward, Eric; the casino host, Kong Shu Yee; hair stylist, Adrian; spa masseuse, Mami;; casino staffer, Vincent; and casino bar server, Gerjune

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Everything was clean. I enjoyed the ship's layout. I'd read complaints online about how confusing it could be to navigate the decks but, possibly due to the hours I spent walking the decks, I had no problem finding my way throughout the ship. I loved exploring the open decks.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The size and comfort were perfect for me. I loved the large window and spent hours watching the ocean. I also enjoyed watching the navigation channel on my stateroom television. I would love to see single staterooms on more ships.

Ship tip

Explore this amazing ship! There are historic photos and fascinating information panels about Cunard, the ships, sailing history and the people behind the scenes
