Review summary

Fantastic voyage, QM2 is amazing. see categories for details.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
There was a slight wait (as expected with Southampton) however it didn’t really impact on our plans.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The Queens Grill is outstanding, the staff offer great service with personal touches that really complete the experience. The food was delicious and fresh The Verandah (cover charge) was impeccable. We had afternoon tea in the queens room rather than in the grills as the experience is like no other, it is a must on Cunard.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The pools weren’t overcrowded and the weather was rather nice for a September crossing. We took part in a couple of dance classes in the Queens Room which were rather amusing.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The entertainment was great however this voyage was a couple of voyages put together meaning that the entertainment repeated however it was to a good standard throughout.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff in the restaurants were friendly and they were very efficient but not clinical. Our butler/steward was amazing, he knew our preferences and he couldn’t do enough for us.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The QM2 is spotless with a well thought out design. The ship provides a comfortable sailing.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The grand duplex was outstanding as it was clean spacious and elegant. They are definitely worth the extra money.
