Wonderful July 4th cruise on QM2

Sail Date: July 01, 2016

Reviewed: 11 months ago

Traveled As: Couple

Cabin: 5157

Our favorite parts were the elegance of the ship and the level of personal service. A good number of activities for a short cruise.

Least favorite:  Unacceptably long lines to board the ship,

Cabin / Stateroom
Embarkation and Disembarkation
Embarkation from Brooklyn was extremely chaotic and time consuming. The Brooklyn port is too small to handle a ship that size. There were not enough agents for the 2,600 passengers boarding.
Ship Quality
Destinations and Excursions
The Halifax city tour by bus excursion was mediocre. The shopping part of the tour left a lot to be desired and seeing more the city would have been better.
Onboard Activities
Children's Programs
Service and Staff
Food and Dining
We appreciate that kosher food was available as most ships do not provide this option. However, it would have been helpful if there were more non-meat meals available, especially for lunch.
