Review summary

Time away from home or work is always good.  The cruise allowed plenty of relaxation and the chance to interact with many other people.  The menu was disappointing in some ways but the service was good.  We know that the many Officers on board all have big responsibilities; however, it appears that from time to time, they should be required to do some "deck time".    Get around the ship and do some small chit-chat with passengers and to make them feel welcomed.  Getting off the ship was a nightmare; however, it seems to always be the fault of the Immigration folks - never the cruise line.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
We ate only one time a day in the buffet. We did NOT like the way the entire place was set up. It seemed to be so broken up....One would get their plate and then usually had a long ways to get back to your seat. Seats by the windows were found in very small areas, like nooks and crannies. We like a very large room/area where no matter where you found a table, you had windows to look out.

Onboard Activities

Not too much on board activities that we participated in. We did enjoy the "Afternoon Tea Dances" ......

Entertainment

Regardless of the Cruise Line, seems like we very seldom find entertainment we enjoy. Also, in your Chart Room Bar, which is the area we preferred to have drinks before dinner, the music was always too loud....You had a very hard time trying to talk to each other. Did enjoy hearing Mr. Gates.

Ship Quality

Found that all areas were clean and well kept up. We are very, very neat people at home; so for our stateroom attendant, Phillip, he only had to make our bed each day.

Cabin / Stateroom

Enjoyed having the window to look out over the Atrium....Found the cabin large enough and plenty of closet space. The only thing we didn't like was the "shower curtain" ..... would prefer the shower door, etc.
