The scenery is incredible!
Don't Miss: Waimea Canyon and the NaPali Coast

You can do the Crater Rim Drive quicker than I expected. Driving the Chain of Craters Road added a lot more time but it was worth it to see old lava flows and the steam of new ones off in the distance.

If you can stand to get up 3 hours before sunrise, seeing the sunrise at the top of Haleakala was neat.
