Review summary

The customer service on this ship was very poor. The food is merely ok. The airlines lost our baggage, and NCL did very little to help us get 2 of our 3 bags back (one is still missing.) Our flight was cancelled and we missed the first night of the cruise. We were never contacted by the ship personnel. We had to spend two hours on our phone to get them to provide somewhere for us to stay the first night and they flew us to Hilo at 5am to meet the boat. The entertainment was poor and lacked any kind of style. The illusionist was terrible. You could see him pull things out of his sleeve. Very low budget. Be prepared if you eat in any of the restuarants on the ship, that the meal will take two hours because the service is so slow. I didn't meet one person on this cruise who was satisfied. The tipping is already included on your cabin bill, so the staff doesn't feel the need to work hard at all. The ship itself is beautiful. It is less than a year old. There are two pools and four hot tubs. The adults only hot tub is filled with kids and teenagers. No one on the staff even cared.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Nothing had any taste. Everything is bland, bland, bland. I'm not even that picky of an eater, everthing tasted the same. Very little vegetables, and lots of pineaple and melon.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
The singers were alright, other than that it was poor at best.

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
Everything is fine, aslong as nothing goes wrong for you. They don't give a darn if you complain. They blame someone else, or say there isn't anything they can do.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship is nice, unfortunately the service desk is not.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
It was a small room with a bed. The bathroom was small and we couldn't even sit straight on the toilet because there wasn't any leg room.

Ports of call

Kahului, Maui

5 out of 5
The paradise Luau was alright. There are 500 people so make sure you get there early to get a close spot.
Don't Miss: rent a car and go to the southern beaches.

Hilo, Hawaii

The only thing we did was go to walmart.

Nawiliwili, Kauai

3 out of 5
Beautiful and tropical
Don't Miss: rent a car and drive to Waimea Canyon *amazing*

Pros: The ports of call

Cons: dining and customer service
