Review summary

If someone has never been to Hawaii, this is a great way to experience it. For those who have been before, I would think it is preferable to go to the island you like the best and stay there. The ship is beautiful. We particularly liked the colorful lighting in all areas. It was so artfully done. We were happy with the ship, however, we felt the staff, generally speaking, were not as helpful as other cruises we've taken. The food was average - the biggest complaint was, even though it was "freestyle" dining, you had to have a reservation in order to get into a nice restaurant. If you had not made your reservations by the 3rd day, you were pretty much out of luck. We ate several nights in the top deck buffet for that reason. We talked with several crew members who weren't happy with their jobs and felt they were overworked. The ship itself was the highlight of the actual cruise - very well laid-out, and very clean since it was brand new! Anytime you are in Hawaii, it can't be all that bad!

There were a few extra wonderful crew members, but, on the whole, there was a feeling of unhappy employees who did not go out of their way to be helpful.

We were pleasantly surprised at the nice shower for an inside cabin - that's a first!
