Review summary

Overall a great cruise and beautiful destination. No long water crossing so a good cruise for those with sea sickness issues. I am quite prone to sea sickness but only took one dramamine as a precaution on this trip. If you've never been to Hawaii, this is a great way to get a taste of a large part of the state.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Took less than an hour from luggage drop-off to beverages.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main Dining Room was okay, Specialty Dining Rooms had good food. Not a fan of buffets so did not use

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The few we used, gym, spa were quite nice

Entertainment

3 out of 5
50% cruise so the entertainment was a bit sparse. We saw mostly lounge acts and they were okay

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Mostly American Crew and most were top notch.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
One of the few times I did not get sick from a cruise.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Haven Balcony Sweet but I dont recall room. Was a nice room

Ship tip

Arrive a few days before and stay a few days after to make the most of the long flight and beautiful state.

Ports of call

Honolulu, Oahu

4 out of 5
Great starting port to experience the touristy side of Hawaii. Lots of restaurants and shops, history on this island.

Kahului, Maui

4 out of 5
Excursion got cancelled due to winds. They have a nice ER.

Hilo, Hawaii

5 out of 5
Visit the National Park. Less crowded and more "country".

Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

5 out of 5
Loved this island though small. Great to rent a vehicle and explorer in a day.

Cruise Napali Coast, Kauai

4 out of 5
Beautiful part of the cruise but not really a port.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Always a hectic experience. Not sure why we select color tags if they call them all at once. Again a 50% cruise so not a major ordeal.

We were scheduled for October 2021 but was cancelled as Hawaii was still not fully opened because of pandemic. Was looking forward to it.

Appreciate your details. Sadly, no more lower occupancy. Ships are now seem to be at full occupancy. Glad you enjoyed your cruise.
